NHF's 55th Annual Meeting "Many Stories, One Voice"

-- Preview --

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the National Hemophilia Foundation's (NHF) Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City (November 5 - 8).

Wyeth is sponsoring several exciting events at this year's meeting - including the first production of "The Yellow Boat" at an NHF annual meeting. Below is a preview of our events. If you are planning to attend the meeting, we invite you to join us for these activities.

The Yellow Boat
We are very pleased to present a production of "The Yellow Boat" in Salt Lake City. "The Yellow Boat" is based on the true story of Benjamin, who had hemophilia and died at the age of eight from AIDS-related complications. During his illness, Benjamin was encouraged to use art to express his feelings; the play is a celebration of his life, and portrays the power of imagination and art to create hope and humor. There will be a reception after the play, and several of Benjamin's paintings will be on display.

We invite you to join us for this very special presentation of "The Yellow Boat" on Friday, November 7th at 8:00 pm at the Leona Wagner Black Box Theatre (in the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center) in Salt Lake City.

Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Wyeth exhibit (#501) in the Grand Ballroom at the NHF annual meeting. Shuttle bus service from the hotel to the theatre will be provided by Wyeth.

Thursday Night Event - "Camp Wyeth"
After the opening of the exhibits, Wyeth will be hosting a camp-themed evening event, "Camp Wyeth," with activities for the entire family, plus food and drink. More details will be available at our booth during the opening reception.

Educational Symposium on Friday, November 7
Wyeth has provided an unrestricted educational grant to support a symposium, "The Hemophilia Management Cascade: Optimizing Treatment Based on Patient Needs," on Friday morning, November 7 from 7:00 - 9:00 am. Please join us for breakfast at 6:30 am, followed by the discussion of hemophilia treatment.

Updated Wyeth Website Preview
At the annual meeting, we will also be previewing our updated website, www.hemophiliavillage.com. We've given it a totally new look and made navigation easier. We hope you will take a moment to stop by the booth to view our new website.

Meet the New Members of Our Team
This year, we have several new individuals who have joined our team, and our entire group is looking forward to the annual meeting as a time to renew acquaintances and meet new members of the community. If you see any of the following new team members, please feel free to say hello and introduce yourself, and we will do the same.

  • Elmer Evans - Executive Director, BeneFIX® Marketing
  • Ron Hayen - Executive Director, ReFacto® Marketing
  • David Roth, MD - Therapeutic Area Director, Hemophilia Clinical Research & Development
  • Michael Russomano - Vice President, Global Business Management, Hemophilia
