Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Donates Funds to the World Federation of Hemophilia and the Haemophilia Foundation of Australia

— Wyeth Signature Wall Demonstrates Commitment to the Hemophilia Community —

Collegeville, Pa. (August 10, 2005) — In keeping with its continued support of the hemophilia community, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, a division of Wyeth (NYSE:WYE), announced its recent donations of $5,000 each to the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) and the Haemophilia Foundation of Australia (HFA) at the The International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis's (ISTH) XXth Congress in Sydney, Australia.

"We are pleased to support the missions of these organizations and to provide funding for their important work around the world and in Australia," says Robert Dufour, Assistant Vice President & Global Business Manager, Hemophilia and Oncology, at Wyeth.

To encourage individual expressions of support for the hemophilia community, Wyeth reintroduced the "Wyeth Signature Wall" at the ISTH Global Congress. Attendees were encouraged to add their signature as a token of their support for the hemophilia community as they passed through the Wyeth exhibit. The Signature Wall debuted in 2004 at the WFH World Congress in Bangkok, Thailand.

"The Wyeth Signature Wall is a wonderful, hands-on way for Congress attendees to express their support for the hemophilia community, and we are thrilled to see Wyeth continue with this innovative, community-building program," says Miklos Fulop, WFH Executive Director. "We are grateful for the generous donation from Wyeth, which we will utilize for our programs."

Wyeth is a major supporter of the WFH and has been the exclusive sponsor of its Twinning program since 2001. Through this program, treatment centers and hemophilia patient organizations in developed countries are paired with corresponding organizations in developing countries to help share knowledge and best practices.

"Wyeth's donation will be used to support the Australians and their families who are living with hemophilia," says Sharon Caris, Executive Director of Haemophilia Foundation of Australia.

Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, a division of Wyeth, has leading products in the areas of women's health care, cardiovascular disease, central nervous system, inflammation, transplantation, hemophilia, oncology, vaccines, and nutritional products.
